Meet a husband and wife team from the Neknasi Coffee Growers Cooperative in Papua New Guinea. See how they produce their coffee from tree to dried bean. In the Saruwaged Range in Morobe Province the Deingi family proudly produce coffee following traditional and environmentally friendly practices.
Husband and wife Deingi and Mayung learnt their skills from their parents, and are focusing on the quality and volume of their coffee through the support of the Neknasi Coffee Growers Cooperative, a young and hard-working Fairtrade certifed organisation recently chosen by PNG’s Coffee Industry Corporation as the national model for the development of the smallholder coffee industry in the country. Download the 2 page profile showing their coffee growing process here.
If you'd like to find out more about the actual coffee beans from Neknasi, read the coffee profile here.
